The journey
A life, in chapters.
-
Born in Illinois, raised in Indiana
Hoffman Estates by birth, Lake Station by upbringing — small-town Midwestern beginnings that shaped her early sense of community, family, and what it means to show up for the people around you.
-
The move to Lexington, at twelve
The summer before seventh grade, the Johnson family moved to Lexington, Minnesota — a new start, and the community Tabitha would lead from.
-
Three roles, one school year
Class of 2025. Tabitha founded and led the Black Student Union, served as a Lino Lakes Ambassador, and graduated with honor — three milestones in a single school year.
-
Personal Care Assistant
Caring for others in vulnerable moments — work that deepened her empathy and reshaped her view of dignity.
-
The National American Miss stage
It started with a letter in the mail. An open call, a brief interview, and a place among this year's National American Miss Minnesota contestants — ready to carry her platform of kindness, service, and inclusivity to a broader audience.
Off the stage
A few things she loves
Regardless of what happens with the pageant journey, Tabitha will continue to give back to the community she came from.
